When you decide to undergo gastric sleeve surgery to restrict the amount of food that you consume as a way of losing weight, you need to be ready for anything that could come with this surgery. The goal of the gastric sleeve surgery is to reduce the size of one's stomach so that the quantity of food that one consumes will be restricted. On the third day, the patient will be put in a full liquid diet that will be composed of sugar-free, clear liquids and low-fat milk products. The gastric sleeve diet also suggests the supplementation of protein drinks or powder after the surgery.

Starting on the third week, pureed diet will be introduced and its emphasis will be protein foods. This specific gastric sleeve diet should not be added with sugar or should be sugar-free and low fat. If you really want to lose weight, keep in mind that you have to make some sacrifices.
