Anabolic Cooking Ebook - Why Fad Diets Fail

Anabolic Cooking

When going on a routine, whether it be getting big or trimming down, the most important factor is what you put in your stomach. The kitchen can make or break an exercise routine, and it's very important to maintain a healthy diet throughout your routine. The biggest mistake people often make is not eating protein and carbs in the right amounts.

Protein is the building blocks of muscle, and even if your aim is simply to lose fat, building muscle can help you accomplish this. The more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn at your base metabolic rate, meaning even when you sleep you burn more fat because of the increase in muscle. Eating a decent amount of protein is essential in any exercise routine. The recommended intake is approximately 1 gram of protein per pound of body mass, meaning if you weigh 200, you should eat 200 grams of protein per day.

Carbohydrates are also a neccessary component in any routine. Diets that cut out carbs completely will always fail because they body relies on carbs for fast burning energy. When the aim is to lose fat, you should consume a low amount of carbs, but you should never cut them completely out. When building muscle, you should consume a very large amount of carbs, often 1.5 grams per pound of body mass.

Cooking to cater to your diet is often a complete hassle, but there are many recipes and recipe books to help you. My personal favorite is Anabolic Cooking, I use this when planning any routine. It has sections for losing fat and building muscle, and it can even be used for women too.
